Porsche 997 GT3 RSR

The most powerful race car based on the Porsche 911 is the 997 GT3 RSR. This car is built in very limited numbers by Porsche Motorsport in Weissach, is based on the street legal Porsche 997 GT3 RS. Maximum performance and endurance are a great asset for the RCC.

There are clear optical characteristics of the RCC are brothers apart. The increased width and large front and rear, which improved the aerodynamics are the most eye-catching. Roosters in the side of the bumpers provide improved airflow and a corresponding reduction in drag.

The real distinction is made however by the innovations in the body and weight optimization. Frequent use of extremely strong and durable materials such as carbon and kevlar, ensure that the weight of around 1200 kilograms convenience. The stiffness of the car has increased, partly due to the integrated roll cage.

Major changes to the chassis ensure clearly more mechanical grip. The wide adjustability of the frame contribute significantly to this improvement. The development of the RCC is much know-how used by the RS Spyder. Among others, the all-new powertrain in the RCC on the basis of the RS Spyder developed.

The 3.8 liters of six cylinder boxer engine provides the RCC 465 hp (342 kW) at 8,000 revolutions per minute. The maximum torque of 430 Nm is generated at the speed of 7250. The device takes only at 9400 rpm.
